We all have a built in deference for people who we perceive to be very important…

If you had a meeting with Bill Gates or Elon Musk…

What would you do to prepare?

How much would you move heaven and earth to ENSURE that you were at that meeting…probably an hour early just to make sure you had no possibility of being late?

How much time have you spent thinking through how to have your prospects show up to meetings with you, with that level of urgency?

Do people treat you and your time the way that you would treat Bill or Elon’s time?

If not, and you think the reason is because you’re not some globally known technology magnate….

I can guarantee you that’s not the reason.

The reason is because YOU don’t hold your time as valuable and sacred…

So in turn, you don’t and can’t communicate the clues to others that have them relate to you in that way.

Consequential Invitations and Offers

Would you allow a business prospect to just be a no call, no show to a lunch meeting with you…

With absolutely no consequence at all?

And then set another meeting with them with no issue at all?

Of course not. The problem here is that most people don’t bring the same energy into their cycles…

As they do in their regular life.

So our customers and clients believe that it’s a 1-way street…

And that THEY are the ones driving the vehicle the entire time… (some of you do as well)

And that it’s your job to “convince” them about the virtues of your offer.

Inside of that context, there is space for them to be callously indifferent about how they engage with you…

Including but not limited to totally wasting your time.

Honor your time, and others won’t disrespect it…

When you shift your relationship to what you normalize as “acceptable” behavior by your clients…

Your thoughts, words and actions will immediately change as a result too…

And in short order, the way your clients engage with you will change too, consistent with how you’re moving.
