YESTERDAY’S RECAP

In 2023, I managed as many as 35 contractors across various countries, time zones and different parts of the business…

This daily update gives me the links to all my master tracking documents for every single department in my business…

As well as all the areas of focus I need to keep top of mind daily in my business and life for 2024.

My SYSTEM Is So Efficient, It Has Replaced The Need For An Ops Team, At Least For Now…

In today’s video, I walk you through how I use my google sheets master project tracker coupled with Slack and Asana to manage my full-time development and design team in the Philippines.

I can see exactly what my team is working on each day at a glance…

To verify that projects in their queue are the highest priority each day…

Without me needing to speak to them directly for 5-7 days at a time if I don’t have direct project related conversation that I need to have with them.

The system I use now to manage their work took a long time and much trial and error to develop…

But it’s very well-organized now…

And it allows me to know exactly what’s going on at all times with respect to design and development projects every single day…

At a glance, from my cell phone…

Without needing to have a single conversation with a team member.

My system has replaced the short term need for me to have an ops person or team in this role…

Because strong Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) have given my team the clear processes they need to stay effective, efficient and organized…

While giving me the high level transparency into the daily planning and work outcomes of the team anytime I want to see them…

Without needing to hire an ops person to “hold the line” and make sure the team is staying productive and on task day to day.

I don’t know at what size team I will outgrow this system…

But I can tell you definitively that even managing several dozen contractors at various levels of part-time and full-time work…

This structure allows me to seamlessly allow THEM to coordinate their daily work…

In a way that is transparent, organized, and aligned with the most important priorities of their department in the business at any given time.
