DAY #59 OF 365 | Wednesday, February 28th, 2024

YESTERDAY’S RECAP

If you missed yesterday’s AMPLIFY DAILY, I talked about the difference between strategy, planning and implementation.

People throw around the word “strategies” loosely…

With no regard to it having a defined context in the conversation.

My personal definition of strategy is a defined set of actions to take, over a defined period of time…

With the intent on producing a specific, predetermined outcome.

If strategy is “what” we’re doing…

Then planning is the “who, where and by when” of the scenario…

And implementation is the actual work to DO the DOING.

Always Get The Evidence…

CATEGORY: Content Creation

In today’s video, I’m talking about maximizing the opportunity to capture professional content…

Anytime you will be in front of the room or on-stage in any substantial way.

I call this “getting the evidence” of you having been in front of an audience, working your magic.

Have a videographer and photographer present anytime you’re on stage or leading an event…

And if they’re going to be there, plan to utilize them to the fullest…

Always have a shot list of the most important shots or “scenes” you need them to capture or create while they’re there…

And if you have a videographer on site, always get testimonials from attendees.

Pre-planning what content you will capture at an event

I’m currently in the middle of a launch partnership with a woman named Whitney Bonds, on a new program she’s launching called YouTube Cash Course.

When I do a launch partnership, I architect and manage all aspects of the launch of someone’s new program (which I’ve typically helped them create as well)…

From the marketing strategy, to the sales site, to the branding and design, to the copy on the landing pages and emails, to the sales automation in the follow-up email sequences…EVERYTHING.

In Whitney’s case, I decided to have the 1st stage in her launch process be a live event called YouTube Cash Course LIVE!

This is a 10-hour, full day intensive, which gives us the opportunity to have Whitney record the course in real-time on that day…

And get paid 5-figures in ticket sales by attendees to basically record her course.

But beyond that, the live event launch gives me an opportunity to do some really useful things from a content planning perspective, after the event…

But ONLY if I make sure to think through all those things NOW, so that we can grab the right content DURING the event.

Here’s the plan…

  • Intimate event, just 5-10 people in attendance
  • Have a professional videographer on-site to capture all the event footage of Whitney delivering the course
  • We’ll have professional hi-definition sound quality on all the recordings
  • After the event, it will all be chopped up into short form content, and used as promo material for the course on social media
  • We’ll also do a fireside chat with Whitney during the event, to capture a bunch of conversational promo stuff for social media
  • Shortly after we’re done with all stages of the launch campaign for the course, we’ll launch a podcast entitled “YouTube Cash with Whitney Bonds
    • I already own YouTubeCashShow.com and YouTubeCashPodcast.com, aligned with the name of the course
  • All of the content we record at the event will also be repurposed into micro-podcast episodes, 10-12 minutes long, which will give us about 1.5 – 2 years of content if we release 1 episode per week
    • We’ll also bake two 15-30 second commercials for the course into the micro-podcast episodes
    • This podcast will be hosted by Whitney, and edited to SOUND and FEEL live, but will not require her to do anything at all
    • All the content for the shows will be from this ONE event, and we can even have her intros and outros for each episode be generated by an AI voice creator that sounds just like her, so she doesn’t have to spend time on that if she doesn’t want to
    • That will build an ORGANIC audience of potential buyers for the course, that grows in perpetuity and feeds our sales funnel, after launch
  • We’ll also record those 15-30 second commercials for the course while on-site at the event
  • During dedicated segments, we’ll grab footage of Whitney answering questions on film that make up what we know will be her core content pillars for the social media promos we’ll create when we spin up social media channels for this program
  • I’ll make sure to get her answering the following core questions / statements that we have to have for our social channels…
    • Who am I?
    • What can you expect to learn from me…about YouTube?
    • If you’re ready to buy now, here’s exactly what to do…
    • Here’s who YouTube Cash Course is perfect for…
    • Here’s who YouTube Cash Course is NOT a fit for…
  • We’ll also record the live Q&A Whitney does with the audience, so we get dedicated videos for the FAQ section on the site

This isn’t just an event to record the course content…

Planned properly, an event like this can provide you with 1-2 years worth of social media content…

Podcast episodes, ad creative, testimonials, all of it for just a few thousand dollars out of pocket.

A live event to record your online course is an incredibly sound investment, when managed properly.
